Day break at Lake Catani This is the first time ever that there has been a luxe camp at Mount Buffalo National Park and the only private accommodation on the mountain.
You are invited to wake-up to the sounds of nature from within one of Australia’s most beautiful National Parks. Set amongst the snow gum woodland on the Mt Buffalo plateau, the secluded campsite is within steps of the spectacular Lake Catani.

Relax amongst the snow gums a short walk from the lake. There are 10 premium canvas bell tents on site, all fully equipped with a queen size bed (with proper mattress!), floor rugs, interior furnishings, linen and towels.
Under Sky provide all the kit you need. Under Sky provide individual gas cookers, cooking pots, crockery, cutlery and yes, even condiments, so that you can prepare your own gourmet camp meal. There are also hot showers and toilets on site, as well as a washing up area and communal shelter for Under Sky campers to enjoy.
Best of all there are communal fire-pits complete with plenty of firewood.
Local produce for breakfast. Under Sky also offers breakfast packs with local produce when you book your tent.
Everything is taken care of, you just need to turn up and enjoy the scenery!

Mt Buffalo is one of Victoria’s most magical conservation areas, with absolutely stunning alpine scenery – dramatic granite peaks, sheer gorges, cascading waterfalls and many opportunities to witness its vibrant flora and fauna. At sunset head for The Horn, a fantastic spot for uninterrupted 360 degree views of alpine wilderness.
There are over 90 km of walking and hiking tracks to discover, as well as canoeing, cycling, and for the adventurous, Mt Buffalo is also a great spot for rock climbing and hang-gliding which is catered for by local operators.
At night you have the stars for company.
