Have you read our handy guide to buying a bell tent?
BEAUTIFUL SHELTER MADE EASY
Homecamp Bell Tents will help you adventure more often. Based on a classic Sibley tent design, they are the perfect tent for camping with kids, festival camping or more rugged adventures. Our tents are designed to give you maximum space for minimum effort, they are easy to set up and packs away into any car boot.
The Homecamp Classic Bell Tent replaces the previous Flinders & Simpson Bell Tents and sets a new standard for tough yet good looking Bell Tent design. The Classic uses a heavy-duty canvas made for varied and extreme conditions. Unlike most other bell tents, this is a four-season tent – just at home in the outback heat as subzero temperatures. The Classic canvas breaths nicely and doesn’t condensate, is mould, UV, water-resistant and a lot more durable (and easier to clean) than 100% cotton, so suitable for longer-term camps and commercial use.
ZIP OFF FLOOR & DOUBLE WALL
The Classic features a zip-in/ zip-out groundsheet which is handy for cleaning and air ventilation. This tent also has a double-wall, so that you can roll up the outer canvas wall and expose a second wall made entirely from mosquito netting. The secondary mesh wall acts as a barrier between you and insects (and other wildlife!), so you can enjoy the view and cross breeze. We use extra strong netting that won’t end up ripping (a common problem with other tents).
HOT TENT SETUP – IT CAN HANDLE THE HEAT
HARDWARE – WHY BUY GENERIC?
Broken zips are an annoying and expensive problem. We use custom made YKK zips and to date, we have had no problems with zips. All of our hardware is custom manufactured to our specification. We use 6mm 750 strength paracord for our guy ropes and metal guy adjusters.
4m is a great sized tent. Ample room for a couple or small family – we recommend you pace it out or use a tape measure – you can fit 3 queen-sized beds in a tent of this size if needed.
Consider a Homecamp inner tent with your purchase. This is a great way to divide your tent and keep your bedding area clean and tidy – particularly useful for families or festival-goers. A Homecamp awning is another great investment to extend a shaded area outside your tent.

Customer ReviewsWrite a review
I did months of research on bell tents and went with Homecamp because 1. Aus company 2. higher weight/thread of canvas and guide ropes used 3. Zip quality. 4. ability to zip off walls for beach usage
I really appreciate the purpose built carry bags for all items. The instruction booklet is super useful and beautifully illustrated. We will season the tent this weekend and looking forward to hitting the road ASAP
We recently purchased and camped with our Homecamp 4m classic bell tent, after months of deliberations and research. Couldn't be happier with the purchase – we set up in three different spots in NSW over ten days, and the tent is so easy to erect and pack away. We also spent a night in 45km winds with no issues to the tent's sturdiness. The 4m has tonnes of room for two, and we're looking forward to bringing our greyhound on our next camping adventure as well. Zips are great quality, and I love all the well thought design details, including reflective guy ropes and the metal adjusters. Such a pleasure to wake up in. Special thanks to Doron for his superb customer assistance getting us set up.
Hey Dan, thanks for taking the time to review our Homecamp Bell Tent - its especially heartening as this is our core product and we have tried to make it a tent, that with the right care, will last the distance - reminiscent of our family canvas tent we had when I was a kid (but less leaky). Thanks again. Doron
This is my first bell tent and I have no idea what to expect. I have done some reading and comparing with other bell tents. Lots in the market with competitive prices. I picked HC because it’s the only one I found with mozzies net thru the entire wall comparing with only the door and windows. It’s well made and lots of passionate camping informations from the owner Doron & Stephanie. We did our first camp at our backyard and kids just love it. Amazing product and thanks for the speedy shipment. Cheers
Hi Kokaik, thank you for this really great review. We put a lot of work into making quality products and its fantastic when its appreciated. Thank you, HC
Received my tent .. misplaced my instructions and feeling determined decided to wing it with my three year old as my trusty TA. The tent is quite heavy but it had to be pitched.... in my front yard!
After some trial and error and finding the pegs that mr 3 year old had hidden, we finally had built the tent aka cubby house. I'm not strong person but i still managed to build it myself. on my own. with no instructions. I think two adults could build it in no time. We hadn't slept inside as yet because we weren't organised, and it was quite cold that night in saying this when we went out in the morning i was surprised at how warm it was inside the tent. Super happy with the quality and cannot wait to spend easter out the front camping, and we are super excited to go camping one day!
Hi Kate, thank you for your great review and we are so glad you are happy with your tent. Yes they are big but manageable and like anything it gets quicker with practise. Don't forget to season your tent if you get a chance https://homecamp.com.au/seasoning-or-weathering-your-canvas-tent/
Amazing quality tent, very solid and easy to put up. So far we’ve only done backyard camping with the kids because of quarantine, but This tent is going to get a lot of use with our family over the years. Very happy and can highly recommend.
Hi Sam, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review and take a snap of your Homecamp tent. We are really chuffed that you are happy with your purchase. Lots of good quality and useful products in the pipeline this year so hopefully we are all free to roam soon. HC.
