Big Tent, Simple Setup
Our Tipi/Laavu-style canvas tent, designed for 1-4 people, offers enough space for a couple with gear and a wood fire stove or up to four individuals with single mattresses and less gear.
Setting up camp is a breeze with our Ezy Pitch system, taking just 10 minutes or less: Simply peg the groundsheet, insert the centre pole, attach the webbing loops to the pegs, and tighten the webbing. Additional guy ropes are available for stormy weather, though they are often unnecessary.
The floor is made from ultra-thick waterproof 500 GSM ripstop PVC, creating a bathtub-type floor that keeps you dry in wet conditions. The floor can be unzipped and removed for easy cleaning or for using the tent canopy as a shade structure.
Two large internal pockets provide safe storage for valuables such as phones, car keys, and wallets. The Tipi packs into an oversized, fit-for-purpose canvas bag that will fit into any car boot.
Dual-Door Design
Take advantage of cross breezes with our dual-door design, offering different configurations for ultimate ventilation. The two doors, opposite each other, each with separate mesh screens, keep bugs out while allowing airflow. The canvas outer doors can be zipped from top-down or bottom-up, offering options for light, ventilation, and privacy.
The door zips are protected by a storm flap. The doors extend and roll up neatly, secured by a loop and toggle system.
Our heavy-duty mosquito mesh inner doors ensure bug-free nights and four windows that have secondary mesh windows to provide even more ventilation options.
Homecamp Quality
Crafted from specially woven lightweight canvas, our tent strikes the perfect balance between durability and weight. The canvas is premium Homecamp quality and is resistant to UV, mildew, and water. We’ve ensured longevity by double-stitching seams, gussets, and stress points.
We use light but durable hard-anodized aluminium poles, reflective 440 Paracord guy rope with metal tensioners, and heavy-duty twisted ‘rebar’ style stakes for stability. Stainless steel D rings secure the groundsheet pegs, while custom-made Homecamp plastic buckles and toggles ensure ease of use.

Hot Tent Ready
Like all of our canvas tents, the Homecamp Tipi Tent comes Hot Tent ready with a section of the tent made from fireproof material with an inbuilt Stove Jack – a port designed to accommodate a stovepipe safely. It allows for the passage of a stovepipe through the tent fabric without risking damage from heat or fire and has a Velcro flap to cover when not in use. A note on materials
When choosing a tent, there are various factors to weigh. While size and weight are important, the choice of materials is equally essential. Understanding the differences between cotton-based canvas and synthetic materials is key. The trade-offs encompass weight, strength, maintenance (i.e. propensity for mould, sun damage etc), and breathability (condensation).
